Eleanor Dubinsky has found the tender edge where jazz, world, and pop sensibilities meet emotionally forthright songwriting. In this highly anticipated CD release concert, Dubinsky presents her new album Soft Spot Of My Heart, laid down in studios in Lisbon, Portugal and NYC over the course of 2017. A globally savvy collection of songs highlighting Eleanor's potent vocals and embracing the musical colors and influences of a diverse group of collaborators from Portugal, NYC, Cape Verde and Brazil, Soft Spot Of My Heart draws from a variety of musical influences including gospel, folk, jazz, Latin and Luso-African. To underline her uplifting message, Eleanor welcomes special guests from Brooklyn based contemporary gospel ensemble Greg Stamper Stamper & Soul21, who also make a noteworthy appearance on her new record.
“Eleanor's music is all about connection and empowerment. It makes me feel transported to a sandy beach, where I can be free and dip my toes in the water.” - Glamour Magazine
“Then the voice - simple direct and honest. Its melody lifted me right out of the funk I'd been in. Eleanor's music reminds me of the best of Sting. Great production, spacious grooves and deep feeling all around!” - Steve Sandberg (Pianist, Three- time Emmy- nominated composer)
